The fading affect bias is disrupted by false memories in two diary studies of social media events

چکیده

Unpleasant affect fades faster than pleasant affect, and this phenomenon is referred to as the fading bias (FAB). The FAB moderated mediated by many variables, including rehearsal memory specificity, researchers have emphasized importance of for FAB, but research has not evaluated link objective measures. Using diary methodology across span 1 week, current study examined relation event (1) social media events in Experiment (n = 30) (2) non-social with longer titles 2 63) 1. was negatively predicted false memories both 2. These relations were rehearsals experiments. Implications are discussed.
